This is to replace a faulty laser on an XBOX 360 slim, it will remedy noisy back seeking and drives not reading disks. There are many installation guides on the internet on how to dismantle the drive and replace the laser. You will need to remove the solder ball if present before you install the laser, it will not work if you do not do this
